Services
Garden work, drawn out before it starts.
Four services, described the way this concept studio would offer them. Each one opens the planner with a sensible starting plan, so you can see the shape and the sample sums for yourself.
01 · Garden refreshes
A whole garden, rethought together.
For a tired garden whose patio, lawn and planting need to work as one. The conversation starts with how you use the space, then a simple layout is drawn around it.
- In the planner
- A patio at the house end, a planting border at the back and new lawn between, each worked out from its own sample allowance.
- Starting plan
- 7 m by 9 m, with a patio across a quarter of the plot and a 1 m deep border at the back. Standard allowance, sample range £2,750 to £3,775.
- Worth knowing
- The figures are invented for this demonstration. A real refresh is quoted only after the site has been discussed.
02 · Patios
Room to sit, right by the door.
A paved area at the house end for a table, a bench or simply somewhere dry underfoot. In this concept a patio takes a quarter or a half of the plot, across its full width.
- In the planner
- Patio area is the plot area times the share you choose. Standard and Premium are illustrative allowances, not named products.
- Starting plan
- 6 m by 5 m, with a patio across half of the plot and no border. Standard allowance, sample range £1,925 to £2,625.
- Worth knowing
- Levels and drainage matter more for paving than anything else, so a slope or a drainage concern always means a site conversation first.
03 · Lawns
Soft ground for every day.
New turf for play, picnics or just a green rest for the eye. In the planner the lawn is always whatever space remains once the patio and border are drawn.
- In the planner
- Lawn area is the whole plot, minus the patio, minus the border. The three always add up.
- Starting plan
- 6 m by 8 m, all new lawn, with no patio or border. Standard allowance, sample range £1,025 to £1,400.
- Worth knowing
- Wet or pooling ground is not priced here. Choose the drainage answer and the planner explains what would be discussed instead.
04 · Planting borders
Colour and texture along the back.
A border of grasses, low shrubs and flowers against the back fence. Half a metre gives a neat strip; a metre gives room for layers of planting.
- In the planner
- Border area is the plot width times the depth you choose: none, 0.5 m or 1 m.
- Starting plan
- 5 m by 6 m, with a patio across a quarter of the plot and a 1 m deep border at the back. Premium allowance, sample range £2,075 to £2,825.
- Worth knowing
- Plant choices are talked through together. The drawing shows the idea of a border, not a planting list.
